Sometimes known as the Boston sour, it turns a beautiful bourbon whiskey into a smooth, drinkable cocktail.

- 100ml whiskey
- 50ml lemon juice
- 25ml sugar syrup
- 1 egg white
- slice of orange and a maraschino cherry to garnish

Firstly, to make sugar syrup, mix equal parts water and sugar to a pan on low heat and simmer until dissolved. Decant into a sterile jar.
Fill a cocktail shaker with ice and add your whiskey, lemon, sugar syrup and egg white. Shake vigorously and strain into a chilled tumbler full of ice. Garnish with the cherry and orange slice.
