Beat together the egg and caster sugar in a hob-safe pan until the caster sugar has almost fully dissolved. Add the rest of your ingredients and mix to combine.
Pop on a low heat and stir continuously until your mixture reaches 75°c
Transfer mixture to a Ninja Creami Ice Cream Maker tub and suspend the tub in an ice bath until the mixture has cooled.
Place the lid on the tub and freeze for 24 hours, ensuring mixture is level.
Remove the tub from freezer, remove the lid, then place the tub in the outer bowl. Install the paddle into the outer bowl lid and lock the lid assembly on the outer bowl. Place the bowl assembly on the motor base and twist the handle right to raise the platform and lock in place.
Select ‘gelato’.
Once processing is complete, spoon into a cone or decant into a piping bag for the proper ‘mr whippy’ effect. Finish with a chocolate flake and strawberry sauce. Delicious!
