  • Difficulty: Easy

Ingredients

  • 170g self-raising flour
  • 170g plain flour
  • 1/2 tsp bicarbonate soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 280ml buttermilk

  • 170g self-raising flour
  • 170g plain flour
  • 1/2 tsp bicarbonate soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 280ml buttermilk

Pop your oven grill on.

Grab a bowl and add 170g self raising flour, 170g plain flour, 1/2 tsp bicarbonate and 1/2 tsp salt. Add 280ml buttermilk and combine with your fingers. Gather it together into a soft dough.

Drizzle a tsp of oil into a pan on a medium heat.

Take a tennis-ball sized piece of your dough and roll it to the thickness of a £1 coin on a floured surface.

Add to your pan. After 3-4 minutes it should start going beautifully brown on the underside. At which point you should flip it.

Pop your chosen toppings on top and allow the underside another 2-3 minutes to go golden. To finish it off, whack it under the grill and when your cheese starts to bubble – you’re done!

Enjoy!
