Halloween Rice Krispie Pumpkins

Turn your favourite rice krispie recipe (my Auntie Gill's) into a Halloween treat! So much fun to make and an easy one for the kids to get involved in.

Key Details

  • Serves: 12-15
  • Prep time: 10 minutes
  • Cook time: 15 minutes
  • Difficulty: Easy

Ingredients

  • 200g unsalted butter
  • 200g caramels
  • 200g marshmallow
  • 200g Rice Krispies
  • Orange food colouring
  • Cadbury Curly Wurly Squirlies

  • 200g unsalted butter
  • 200g caramels
  • 200g marshmallow
  • 200g Rice Krispies
  • orange food colouring
  • Cadbury Curly Wurly Squirlies

Melt your butter, caramels and marshmallow into a deep pan on low-medium heat. Keep stirring to combine (be patient – there comes a turning point where the mixture turns into a fluffy cloud – I promise). Add your food colouring to make your mix bright orange! Add in your Rice Krispies and stir to combine.

DO NOT HANDLE UNTIL COOLED TO ROOM TEMPERATURE. Roll into round balls. Push in a Cadbury Curly Wurly Squirlie to create a stalk and pop in the fridge to firm. Once firm, use black icing to draw on your pumpkin faces. So much fun to make and an easy one for the kids to get involved in.
