Drying oranges is a fun festive activity that fills your home with Christmas scents and sparkle when you hang them on the tree.

Preheat your oven to 140°C/275°F/gas 1 and line some baking trays with greaseproof paper/parchment.
Slice your fruit of choice very thinly. For consistency use a mandolin. Arrange the slices in a single layer on lined baking trays and bake for 45 minutes to 1 hour, turning halfway through cooking, until completely dried out.
Leave to cool.
